The evolution of the Facebook profile

By on Oct 21, 2013 in Social

Facebook. The father of social media, in many ways. All of us are on there, and if we’re not, we know someone who is. Whether we were early adopters, hopping aboard in 2006 or 2007, or we’ve only just joined the flock, Facebook has become such an integral part of our daily lives that “social media” is rapidly becoming a meaningless term. Now, it’s just “life”.

No matter how long you’ve been using social media, no doubt you’ve experienced some changes in the way you interact with Facebook. From personal growth, as we understand more and more what Facebook has to offer, to the changes implemented by the online giant itself, the only thing we know about Facebook is that it keeps changing – and changing us. We’ve changed the way we interact with each other, and with the world. We’ve changed the way we process information, and even what we care about in many cases.

This fascinating slideshow from SlideShare shows one aspect of how Facebook has changed over time: the interface. Take a look, and see how many of these you recall.
